This piece is a continuation of my glitch series but playing around with the term "psychedelic Cowboy." I worked with my photographs to create images. I wanted to look at the mathematics of nature in the environments these cowboys inhabit. I also wanted to explore the idea of headdresses in a religious and ceremonial sense. Having these headdresses or halos created from the same habitat of the men, I think it connects the two making them one. One problem I had is finding a concrete way to polish the images. It always felt like I was on the verge of discovering the voice in the artwork. I think I had these difficulties because of the medium I was working in. In my opinion, it is exceedingly challenging to create powerful work digitally. Still, I am satisfied with the results. Enjoy.
